White & Case advises Vitol and its affiliated entities on equity investment in Delfin’s US$5 billion first floating LNG facility in the US

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Vitol Inc. (Vitol) a leading global energy and commodities trader, and its affiliated entities, in connection with its equity investment in FLNG 1 JVCo, LLC, the joint venture established to develop Delfin Midstream Inc.'s US$5 billion first floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) vessel in the Gulf of America.

Delfin FLNG 1 will be the first floating liquefaction facility in the United States and, with an expected export capacity of 4.4 million tonnes of LNG per year, the largest FLNG project globally, with first LNG production targeted for 2030.

The White & Case team was led by partner Patrick Johnson and associates Natalie Tribble and Janie Callaway (all in Houston), with support from partners John Donaleski (New York) and Sean Gorman (Houston); and associates Ana Louise O'Sullivan, Carolina Braga, Samer Mahjoub and Yun Xie (all in Houston), John Azzopardi and Shika Hegde (both in New York).
