Biography
Overview
Allieana's corporate transactional practice focuses on Mergers & Acquisitions, including private strategic acquisitions and private equity sponsors in domestic and cross-border acquisitions and divestitures. Allieana is in the firm's FinTech interest group, where she works on US and non-US FinTech matters, with a focus on blockchain and cryptocurrency-related businesses, covering Web 3, the Metaverse, NFTs, and Token projects, as well as other commercial agreements, banking, payments, asset management, and specialty finance companies. Her work in these areas covers advising clients on compliance with regulatory matters and navigating cutting-edge FinTech issues that are complex, rapidly evolving, and multijurisdictional in nature.
Allieana's financial regulatory and enforcement practice focuses on advising financial services clients on strategy, compliance, and product design that touch on issues relating to the Federal Reserve, OCC, FDIC, SEC, CFTC, CFPB, FTC, Treasury Department, FinCEN, OFAC and state banking and securities agencies.
Prior to joining the firm, Allieana has experience in management consulting, real estate management, and family startup venture.
Allieana is currently the Secretary to the Co-Chairs of the New York City Bar Association Task Force on Digital Assets and Emerging Technologies. The Task Force has a large number of attorneys and industry practitioners contributing work in areas including Artificial Intelligence, Cryptocurrencies, Cybersecurity, Digital Divide, Distributed Ledger Technology and Blockchain, Electronic Mobility Services, Metaverse, Non-Fungible Tokens, Payment Services and Systems, Privacy, and Web 3.
