Biography

Bethany is an Associate in White & Case's Debt Finance practice. She advises banks and other financial institutions, private credit funds, private equity investors and corporate borrowers in relation to cross-border acquisition finance transactions, leveraged and bank/bond financings, syndications and general bank lending.

Bethany joined the Firm in 2021, gaining experience in the Debt Finance and Capital Markets teams in Frankfurt. She has also spent a year on secondment in the Firm's London office with the Private Equity and Debt Finance practice groups.

Experience

Recent representative transactions include advising:

CVC DIF on the debt financing for its acquisition of a 49% stake in BALANCE Erneuerbare Energien, the biogas subsidiary of Leipzig-based gas group VNG AG.

BENTELER Group, a global supplier in the automotive, energy and machinery sectors, on a €2 billion refinancing for the full repayment of the Group's existing liabilities under its 2023 financing.

Bank syndicate on matters relating to Cheplapharm's successful offering of €750 million 7.125% Senior Secured Notes due 2031.

Partners Group on matters relating to the debt financing for Duke Street's acquisition of the ForLife Group.

Bank syndicate of initial purchasers, led by Deutsche Bank and J.P. Morgan SE, on the issuance of various financial instruments by Mangrove LuxCo III S.à r.l. and its subsidiaries for the early and full repayment of Kelvion's existing restructuring liabilities.

Deutsche Bank and Morgan Stanley on the committed financing provided to SES S.A. (SES) for its US$3.1 billion (€2.8 billion) acquisition of Intelsat Holdings S.à r.l. (Intelsat).

Bank syndicate on matters relating to the debt financing of Cheplapharm's acquisition of Zyprexa including a bridge financing and high-yield bonds: €425 million 7.500% senior secured notes due 2030, €325 million senior secured floating rate notes due 2030 and €300 million 7.500% senior secured notes due 2030.

Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners in connection with the debt financing for UltraEdge, a partnership between Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners and Altice France S.A. to establish the first nationwide independent distributed colocation provider in France.

BENTELER Group on its 2023 financing consisting of the issuance of high-yield bonds, a syndicated loan facility and a revolving credit facility for the early and full repayment of its existing restructuring liabilities.

Bank syndicate on matters relating to Cheplapharm's term loan facility of €1,480 million and revolving credit facility of €545 million to refinance and upsize its existing term loan and revolving credit facilities for general corporate purposes and future acquisitions.
