Overview

Hans-Georg Schulze advises clients in the area of Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate and Commercial. His expertise focuses on the advice of complex strategic domestic and cross-border M&A transactions as well as on joint ventures and strategic carve-outs.

In recent years, he advised in particular clients with business in the automobile, energy and technology sector. As local partner in the Berlin office, he is also active in the Private Equity and Venture Capital sector. He served several times as panel member for start-up investment contests, inter alia the European Venture Contest.

Before joining White & Case, he worked nine years for leading law firms in Berlin, Frankfurt, London and Paris where he occupied the French desk.

Hans-Georg Schulze teaches Mergers & Acquisitions at the university of Leipzig for the Mater of International Energy Economics and Business Administration program.

Advising GoDaddy on the acquisition of the Host Europe group for about 1.7 billion Euro from Cinven*

Advising Valeo SA on several M&A transactions, inter alia on the acquisition of the brake manufacturer FTE Automotive for more than 800 million Euro from Bain Capital, on the acquisition of the automotive technology enterprise Peiker from the founding family Peiker, on the acquisition of the Spheros group, a producer of air conditioning systems, from Deutsche Beteiligungs AG as well as on the joint venture for high-voltage powertrains (E-Car Business) with Siemens AG*

Advising TUI travel PLC on its merger with TUI AG in the volume of about 5.8 billion Euro*
