Biography
Johannes Ahlswede is a local partner in the firm's Global M&A and Corporate Practice.
Johannes advises clients on all aspects of corporate and capital markets law, with a particular focus on complex corporate reorganizations, M&A transactions, and corporate disputes. He has extensive experience representing domestic and international clients in a broad range of corporate and transactional matters, including carve-outs, spin-offs, mergers, demergers, and joint ventures. Johannes regularly acts for acquirers, sellers, and target companies in both public and private M&A transactions, including cross-border deals and strategic partnerships.
In addition, Johannes counsels clients on capital markets matters, such as IPOs, capital increases, and ongoing disclosure obligations. He is also highly experienced in advising executive and supervisory boards on corporate governance, compliance, and the preparation and conduct of general meetings.
Johannes represents companies in complex corporate and post-M&A disputes before state courts, arbitral tribunals, and mediation bodies.
Prior to joining White & Case, he worked for over seven years for a leading law firm in its Munich, Frankfurt and London offices.
