Biography

Lucas Curtis is a litigation law clerk in the Firm's Financial Restructuring and Insolvency Practice and is based in the Chicago office. Lucas has represented a diverse array of constituencies in chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings, including as counsel to debtors, official committees, and post-confirmation litigation entities prosecuting estate claims. As a bankruptcy litigator, he has considerable experience supporting clients throughout the lifecycle of a bankruptcy case, including investigations into estate claims, first day motions, contested matters, confirmation hearings, and post-confirmation litigation for the benefit of the estate and creditors. Lucas is also an active member in the Firm's pro bono practice, focusing on civil and human rights advocacy.

Lucas began his career at White & Case in the Firm’s New York office.

Prior to joining White & Case, Lucas served as a judicial law clerk in the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota.
