Biography

Ross is an associate in White & Case's Global Dispute Resolution Group, based in London.

Ross has a broad practice advising on high-value, complex, and cross-border commercial disputes. He has significant experience acting for clients in large-scale group actions, banking and finance disputes, disputes involving civil fraud, shareholder/joint venture disputes, and contentious insolvencies.

Prior to joining White & Case, Ross trained and practised at another leading global law firm in London.

Experience

Representative experience, including prior to joining White & Case, includes advising:

A global mining company in litigation arising from the Fundão Dam collapse in Brazil. This includes one of the largest group actions ever brought in the English courts, involving over 600,000 claimants seeking damages of £36bn: Município de Mariana & Ors v BHP Group (UK) Limited & Ors [2025] EWHC 3001 (TCC).

An international energy company in claims arising from the breach and subsequent termination of an SPA.

A major bank in its successful defence of a £300m Commercial Court claim arising from the alleged fraudulent sale of a portfolio of mortgaged properties (a civil claim related to the UK’s largest ever mortgage fraud).

A minority shareholder in a cryptocurrency business in its claims against the majority shareholders and directors, based on unfair prejudice and breaches of directors’ duties.

A W&I insurer in post-M&A proceedings arising from alleged breaches of complex credit arrangements.

A lender in claims arising from the alleged payment of secret commissions on consumer loans.
