Biography

Zach is a litigation partner in the Firm’s Miami office, focusing on complex, high-stakes commercial and cross-border disputes in state and federal courts – from pre-suit investigation through jury verdict and appeal.

Recognized by Chambers USA for handling a diverse range of commercial disputes, Zach combines his trial and appellate experience to provide strategic and commercial advice to his clients on how to navigate and win in the trial courts while preserving potential appellate issues. His victories reflect both. Zach recently secured a multi-million-dollar jury verdict in a two-week jury trial in a cross-border commercial dispute. He also secured an eight-figure jury verdict for a real estate developer and successfully defended it on appeal. He obtained the dismissal of two foreign clients’ cases arising from a $250 million Ponzi scheme – a ruling upheld by both Florida’s Third District Court of Appeal and the Florida Supreme Court. Zach also takes pride in defending law firms against professional liability claims, where he has prevailed in cases valuing well over $100 million in the trial court and appeal. Zach’s clients have spanned a wide array of industries – financial institutions, insurance companies, private equity firms, healthcare and fintech companies, law firms, real estate developers, drug manufacturers, power companies, and government entities – and include both domestic and international parties across cross-border disputes.

Zach’s pro bono work reflects the same commitment. He has led trial teams in civil rights cases, represented victims of gun violence and domestic abuse, and advocated for a mother seeking her child’s return under the Hague Convention.

Before joining the Firm, Zach clerked for the Honorable Justice R. Fred Lewis of the Florida Supreme Court.
