Zachary Dickens

Zach is a senior associate in the Americas Commercial Litigation Group. He focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation matters in trial and appellate courts. Zach has appeared on his clients' behalf before state and federal trial courts around the country as well as the US Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, the Florida Supreme Court, and the Florida District Courts of Appeal.

Zach has successfully represented a broad range of domestic and international clients, including financial institutions, insurance companies, healthcare companies, law firms, real estate developers, drug manufacturers, power companies, professional associations, and government entities. His litigation experience includes a wide variety of matters, including cases involving contract disputes, insurance disputes, professional malpractice, and antitrust claims. Zach's appellate experience is similarly diverse. He has represented clients in more traditional appeals involving contract interpretation, class certification, statutory interpretation, as well as appeals involving matters of great public importance, such as bond validations, ballot initiatives, and redistricting.

Zach's recent representative experience demonstrates his ability to obtain significant victories on behalf of his clients in both trial and appellate courts. For example, Zach represented a law firm client that successfully obtained summary judgment in a multimillion-dollar legal malpractice lawsuit. And among other appellate matters, Zach has successfully represented clients in the Florida Supreme Court to invalidate a constitutionally-deficient ballot initiative and to deny a bond validation. He has also assisted a client in successfully securing the reversal of an order certifying a class and another client in obtaining a writ of prohibition that reversed a sanctions order.

Zach's pro bono experience similarly includes successful representation of victims of gun violence and domestic abuse.

Before joining the Firm, Zach served as a law clerk to the Honorable Justice R. Fred Lewis of the Florida Supreme Court from July 2012 to August 2014.
