The American Lawyer magazine has named White & Case Partner Jason Webber one of its "Dealmakers of the Year" in its March 28 issue.
In its article announcing Webber's selection, The American Lawyer highlighted Webber's key role advising for White & Case on the financing of the Houston-based Freeport LNG (liquefied natural gas) Development. "In the project's latest phase," the magazine reported, "Webber represented Freeport in the $4.6 billion funding of the third unit, or 'train,' of the facility, helping the company obtain $3.64 billion of nonrecourse senior secured debt from a syndicate of 27 commercial banks."
At White & Case, Webber focuses on US and international corporate and financial transactions, particularly those related to the tender, development, financing, acquisition, and divestiture of energy, infrastructure and natural resource projects. Webber is the co-head of the Firm's Oil & Gas group and has been very active representing sponsors and lenders in shale-driven investments in North America, including midstream energy infrastructure, LNG export facilities and petrochemical projects. He is also a member of the Firm's Private Equity Group, where he focuses on the oil & gas and infrastructure sectors.
