Global Restructuring Review (GRR) has recognized White & Case as a leading global law firm for cross-border restructuring and insolvency work, ranking the firm #2 in its recently published GRR 30.

The GRR 30 is a list that recognizes firms with a demonstrable track record of handling complex cross-border restructuring and insolvency matters. The list ranks the standout firms in the GRR 100, a guide to specialist cross-border restructuring and insolvency practices. Firms are ranked based on multiple factors, including the number of jurisdictions involved in their restructuring or insolvency matters, the total value of debt being restructured in each, the level of complexity and any innovative features involved in each matter.

White & Case also received the "Innovation in cross-border restructuring and insolvency" award for its role on the Noble Group Ltd. restructuring, and the "Cross-border cooperation in a specific restructuring or insolvency matter" award for its role on the Oi SA restructuring.

This recognition from GRR is the latest installment of accolades for White & Case's Financial Restructuring and Insolvency practice. Awards won earlier in the year include:

  • "Restructuring Deal of the Year" for work on the Oi restructuring and "Restructuring Firm of the Year" (IFLR Americas Awards 2019)
  • "Restructuring Deal of the Year" for work on the Noble restructuring (IFLR Asia-Pacific Awards 2019)
  • "Global Restructuring Law Firm of the Year" and "Turnaround of the Year (over US$10 billion)" for work on the Oi restructuring, and "Cross Border Turnaround of the Year (over US$5 billion)" for work on the Seadrill restructuring (Turnaround Atlas Awards 2019)
