End Child Prostitution and Trafficking International Team
For exceptional contributions to global pro bono client End Child Prostitution, Child Pornography & Trafficking of Children for Sexual Purposes (ECPAT) International, a global organization dedicated to ending child sexual abuse.
Members of the team, joined by dozens of additional White & Case volunteers, made outsize contributions in studying the legal frameworks relating to online child sexual exploitation in 92 countries. This comprehensive, global research has helped ECPAT close legal gaps across jurisdictions, and has allowed law enforcement to prosecute offenders more effectively. The findings have also been widely disseminated and shared with a range of regional and international bodies, such as the UN Committee on the Rights of Children.
White & Case also provided ECPAT International with a paper exploring the tension between the right of child sex offenders to privacy and the right of children to be protected, as part of a Global Study on Sexual Exploitation of Children in Travel and Tourism.
