In an article for Mergermarket, White & Case partner George Paul discussed antitrust hurdles that a potential Stripe-PayPal deal would likely face.

George noted that the deal is "exactly the kind of thing that antitrust regulators are going to scrutinize closely," pointing to the concentration of control across different parts of the payments ecosystem. He also highlighted data aggregation and privacy as important issues for regulators.
