Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised EP Infrastructure, a.s. (EPIF), a leading European energy infrastructure company operating across gas and power distribution, gas transmission, heat generation and gas storage, on the establishment of its Euro Medium Term Note (EMTN) programme and the successful issuance of €600 million 4.125% green bonds due 2033 under the programme.
Investor demand exceeded €3.2 billion, with strong participation across the orderbook, supporting pricing materially inside initial guidance. The issuance marks EPIF's successful return to the capital markets, following its previous standalone issuances, including the €500 million 2.045% notes due 2028, €600 million 1.698% notes due 2026 and €500 million 1.816% notes due 2031, on which White & Case also advised.
"The strong investor interest in EPIF's inaugural green bonds under the newly established EMTN programme reflects confidence in the company's business profile and long-term sustainability strategy," said White & Case partner Petr Hudec, who led the Firm's deal team. "We are delighted to have supported EPIF on this important transaction, completed within a very tight timeframe, which further strengthens its liquidity position and advances its transition strategy."
The bonds are admitted to trading on the regulated market of Euronext Dublin. Citigroup Global Markets Europe AG, Erste Group Bank AG, HSBC Continental Europe, SMBC Bank EU AG and UniCredit Bank GmbH acted as joint lead managers and joint bookrunners.
EPIF is a major Central and Eastern European energy infrastructure group, operating regulated and contracted assets across gas transmission, gas and power distribution, heat generation and supply and gas storage, underpinning the region's energy security and long-term system stability.
The White & Case team advising on the transaction was led by partner Petr Hudec, working closely with local partner Jan Vacula, associates David Mikyska, Anna Bezděková and Josef Levy and legal intern David Eyem (all Prague).
