Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Galp Energia, SGPS SA (Galp) on the acquisition, for an equity value of €320 Million, of a 351 MW portfolio of operational onshore wind assets located across Spain from Helia Funds, a platform co-sponsored by Plenium Partners and Bankinter Investment.
“This deal supports Galp’s strategy to diversify its renewable generation portfolio in the Iberian market, with our team supporting Galp at each step in this complex transaction”, said White & Case partner Ignacio Paz, who led the Firm’s deal team.
The portfolio comprises 17 operational onshore wind farms spread across several Spanish regions. With an aggregate installed capacity of 351 MW, the portfolio generates approximately 750 GWh of clean energy on average per year.
The acquisition represents a further step in the development of Galp’s renewable generation portfolio, contributing to a more balanced mix between solar and wind assets.
The transaction is expected to close during the second quarter of 2026.
The White & Case team in Madrid which advised on the transaction was led by partner Ignacio Paz, local partner Eduardo Dachary and associate Juan Presmanes and included local partner Ana Calvo and associates Alberto Rus and Elvira de Ribot.
