White & Case Advises Gatos Silver on Acquistion by First Majestic for US$970 Million

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised the Special Committee of the Board of Directors of Gatos Silver, Inc. (NYSE/TSX: GATO) on the negotiation and execution of a merger agreement between Gatos Silver and First Majestic Silver Corp. (NYSE/TSX:AG) providing for the acquisition of all of the issued and outstanding shares of common stock of Gatos Silver by First Majestic for an approximate value of US$970 million.
Gatos is a silver-dominant producer with a 70 percent interest in the Los Gatos Joint Venture, which owns the producing Cerro Los Gatos silver mine in Chihuahua, Mexico.
The White & Case deal team was led by M&A partners Gregory Pryor and Kristen Rohr, and included associates Joseph Rosati, Jacquie Smith (all in New York) and Henry An (Mexico City). The White & Case team also received support from partners John Tivey (Melbourne), David Johansen, Elodie Gal, Scott Fryman (all in New York), Henri Capin Gally Santos and Carlos Martinez (both in Mexico City), and Counsel Chris Ohlgart (Chicago).
