White & Case advises J&T Banka on acquisition financing of Vendo Park portfolio

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised J&T BANKA, a.s. on the financing for the acquisition of a portfolio of six Vendo Park retail properties in Poland.

The portfolio is 80 percent owned by Generali Fond Realit (GFR) and 20 percent owned by Star Capital Finance (SCF). GFR is managed by Generali Investments CEE, investiční společnost, a.s. and advised by Generali Real Estate.

The financing involved a senior facility, the structuring of a mezzanine tranche for SCF and advice on the cross-border aspects of the acquisition, including matters arising from the ownership structure and the Polish real estate portfolio.

The portfolio, with a total leasable area of 70,000 sq m, comprises retail parks located across several regions of Poland. The properties are anchored by major European and local retail chains and include tenants operating in the drugstore, home improvement and healthcare sectors.
