Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised a consortium of 14 lenders on the up-to €561 million financing of the construction of Rezolv Energy's 1.3GWp Dama Solar project in Arad County Romania.

"This transaction demonstrates the depth of financing available for well-structured, utility-scale renewable energy projects in Central and Eastern Europe. It builds on our strong reputation in project development financings in the CEE/SEE region," said White & Case partner Jonathan Weinberg, who led the Firm's deal team.

Once operational, Dama Solar will be the European Union's largest onshore renewable energy project and is expected to generate approximately 1,800 GWh of clean electricity annually.

The financing was provided by a consortium comprising four international finance institutions and ten other commercial banks. The transaction is Rezolv Energy's largest financing to date, both by financing volume and number of lenders, and builds on White & Case's previous work advising lenders on the financings of the first and second phases of Rezolv's VIFOR wind farm in Romania.

Rezolv Energy is backed by Actis and Mubadala.

The White & Case team which advised on the transaction was led by partner Jonathan Weinberg and included local partners Radek Kraus and David Wilhelm, associates Kateřina Hudečková, David Mikyska, Martin Voříšek, Vinh Ngo The, Magdaléna Lajdová (all Prague) and Alexandre Mouches, Niels Ardeo-Winter (all Paris).
