Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Mid Europa Partners, a leading private equity investor in Central & Eastern Europe (CEE), as borrower, on the financing of its acquisition of Sage sp. z o.o. (Sage) from The Sage Group plc.

The syndicated loan for the acquisition was granted by a consortium consisting of Bank Polska Kasa Opieki S.A., BNP Paribas Bank Polska S.A., and Santander Bank Polska S.A.

Advising Mid Europa Partners on the acquisition finance stems directly from its acquisition of Sage at the end of 2020, the latest in a string of deals on which White & Case has advised Mid Europa Partners over a number of years. The acquisition builds on its track record of investing in CEE-based businesses in the digital, technology, online and B2B software sectors.

Sage is a leader in cloud business management solutions for Polish SMEs, operating under the well known Symfonia brand and providing services to a diversified client base. Symfonia recently transitioned from traditional software licensing to a recurring subscription model, achieving robust top-line growth and enhanced profitability.

The White & Case team which advised on the transaction included partners Grzegorz Abram (Warsaw) and Colin Harley (London) and associates Klaudia Ochenkowska (Warsaw), Sophie Rezki and Elle Illingworth (both London).
