White & Case advises Racing Club Lens and majority shareholder on minority investment by regional partners

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised the French professional football club Racing Club Lens and its majority shareholder on the acquisition of a stake in its capital by the investment vehicle SIDE INVEST, which comprises the Hauts-de-France Region, the Mulliez Family Association and the IRD Group. 

After a successful 2022-2023 domestic season in which the Club finished second in Ligue 1, the minority investment aims to consolidate the Club's financial position and boost its ambitions ahead of its return to the Champions League in the 2023-2024 season.

The White & Case team in Paris which advised on the transaction was led by partners Diane Lamarche and Saam Golshani and included partner Denise Diallo, counsel Quirec de Kersauson and associates Simon Martin-Gousset, Harsanth Sundara, Yasmine Sefraoui and Cécilia Grosjean.
