Biography
Lis is a counsel in our Project Development and Finance Group in London. She has more than 25 years' experience in the energy sector and specialises in the regulation, operation and optimisation of energy assets in the renewables, gas and thermal generation sectors.
Lis advises project developers, energy and utility companies, banks, funds, commodities trading houses and governments on connection, offtake, fuel supply, renewables subsidies and support regimes and REMIT. She has particular skill and expertise in developing complex route to market arrangements and in recent years she has been involved in negotiating many of the key corporate PPAs in the European market, both physically and financially settled.
She has spent several extended periods in house on secondment to large energy companies in structured trading and development roles and brings a highly practical approach to navigating the complexities of the energy sector.

Representation of Elements Green, a UK-based renewable energy developer on a series of financings supporting the delivery of its Staythorpe Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and the ongoing expansion of its pipeline of solar and energy storage projects.
Vifor wind farm
Representation of a club of eight commercial banks and international financial institutions on the up-to-€331 million financing of the construction of the 269MW second phase of the Vifor wind farm in Romania.
Highview Power's Carrington Liquid Air Energy Storage project
Representation of Highview Power, a long-duration energy storage pioneer with proprietary cryogenic energy storage technology, on a £300 million combined debt and equity investment for the first in its pipeline of commercial-scale liquid air energy storage (LAES) plants in the UK. The Carrington Liquid Air Energy Storage project has recently been awarded the "Market Impact Award" by IJ Global.
West Burton B CCGT and Battery Storage
Representation of EIG on the agreement to acquire the 1332 MW Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power station and 49 MW battery at West Burton B in Nottinghamshire, England from EDF Energy. West Burton B CCGT is EDF's only gas-fired power station in the UK and has three combined cycle units with a combined output of 1332 MW, generating enough electricity for approximately 1.5 million UK homes. The West Burton battery is one of Europe's largest battery storage assets with installed capacity of 49MW.

Hornsea II offshore transmission assets
Representation of John Laing on the acquisition of a portfolio of infrastructure assets, including the Hornsea 2 OFTO assets, from HICL Infrastructure PLC (HICL), a FTSE 250 company which is managed by InfraRed Capital Partners Limited, for £204 million.
