Biography
Woldemar specializes in supervisory law and advises clients on the full range of regulatory matters. Woldemar regularly advises clients on FIG M&A transactions and manages ownership control procedures with BaFin and the ECB. He helps clients navigate the regulatory landscape and implement regulatory requirements across various lines. With extensive expertise in CRD/CRR/KWG, PSD/ZAG, IFD/WpIG, MiFID/MiFIR/WpHG, MiCAR/KMAG/eWpG, AMLD/GwG and internal processes of regulated entities, Woldemar provides comprehensive regulatory guidance and helps clients navigate complex legal requirements and optimize their business practices. He frequently advices clients in the context of special audits.
Before joining White & Case, Woldemar worked for several years at another international law firm, advising international clients on regulatory matters. Previously. he served as a senior expert advisor at the German regulator BaFin and participated in various EBA and ESMA working groups. Woldemar delivers actionable guidance to senior executives on shaping regulatory strategy and managing interactions with regulators.
