An introduction to our Racial Justice Task Force

Join members of our Racial Justice Task Force to discuss the group’s effort to fight racism and social injustice through concrete action in the areas of criminal justice reform, education and economic development.

Expect to learn about some of the work that we’re doing to represent individuals serving life sentences since their youth to get them resentenced and released. Other work includes our efforts to assist individuals in getting their old criminal records sealed, eliminating the civil life sentences many serve after being convicted of low-level criminal offenses. We’ll also talk about how we support the work of a DC non-profit advocating for data-driven change in prosecutorial decision-making.
