In an area where White & Case has been leading discussions, the Financial Times reports on new AI tools in company boardrooms that are helping 'chairs, directors and company secretaries at a number of organisations manage and analyse board papers, prepare for and minute regular meetings, all within a secure system'. It says these tools are 'unlikely to be granted a vote' and some directors remain cautious, asking if it’s possible to delegate the duty of loyalty and care. White & Case partner Patrick Sarch said: "No doubt a machine can set out matters to be considered and make a recommendation – but directors with fiduciary duties cannot outsource them to other humans let alone computers."
