Global law firm White & Case LLP has expanded its longstanding presence in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with the addition of Abdullah Al-Hoqail as a partner in Riyadh.
"Saudi Arabia has entered a new phase of growth that prioritizes expanding capital investment, above all at the intersection of technology, energy and infrastructure. This fully aligns with our Firm's strategic priorities and our longstanding commitment to continue to build our offering on the ground in Riyadh," said White & Case Chair Heather McDevitt. "Abdullah's experience and deep relationships with the institutions driving the Kingdom's transformation will ensure we are best positioned to support our clients in capturing the opportunities this growth presents."
Abdullah is an accomplished Saudi lawyer who advises a range of Saudi corporate, sovereign and government clients on complex cross-border transactions. With more than 15 years of experience, Abdullah’s career also includes roles at major US and UK law firms.
"Abdullah further strengthens our Riyadh office and ensures White & Case continues to be positioned as the leading adviser on the most significant transactions in the Kingdom, as well as Saudi-related business in the Middle East and globally," said White & Case partner Abdulwahid Alulama, co-head of the Middle East. "His deep and longstanding relationships with, and experience working with, Saudi government and state-owned entities across a range of significant and consequential mandates, will benefit our clients and align with our strategic ambitions and the growth opportunities we see in Saudi Arabia, the wider region and beyond."
White & Case is the only international law firm with a seven-decade track record of support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Firm has been present in Riyadh since 1993, where it currently has around 40 lawyers, including nine partners. The team provides clients with a true one-stop shop across US, English and Saudi law, with comprehensive practice coverage and deep experience advising on complex deals and disputes in the Kingdom and beyond its borders.
