White & Case advises Glenfarne Group on US$1.04 billion financing for acquisition of energy projects in Chile

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised the Glenfarne Group on the closing of a US$1.04 billion financing, a substantial portion of which financed Glenfarne's acquisition of four energy projects in Chile from METLEN Energy & Metals.
The acquired portfolio comprises 909 MWs of installed capacity, including 588 MWs of solar and associated battery energy storage system facilities, with a capacity of 1.61 GWh (321 MW- equivalent).
The White & Case team also represented Glenfarne in negotiating certain construction, operation and supply contracts for the projects it acquired as part of the transaction.
