Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Lightrock on its investment in Open Cosmos, a European company delivering satellite infrastructure, connectivity and real-time intelligence.
White & Case partner Angus Nunn, who co-led the Firm's deal team, said: "This transaction is the latest in a series of significant space-sector mandates for White & Case, underscoring the Firm's continued track record advising investors and companies at the forefront of Europe's space economy."
Lightrock led the company's €300 million financing round, which also included participation from ETF Partners, Institut Català de Finances (ICF), Entrepreneurs First and two major international pension funds, as well as Convex Group, National Security Strategic Investment Fund (NSSIF), Phoenix Court and Claret Capital Partners.
Headquartered in the UK, Open Cosmos also has operations in Spain, Portugal and Greece, employing close to 400 people. The new funding will expand Open Cosmos' satellite mass manufacturing capabilities and accelerate the delivery of intelligence and connectivity services.
