White & Case advises PKO Bank Hipoteczny on PLN 1.155 billion mortgage covered bonds issuance – its first retail offering in 100 years

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised PKO Bank Hipoteczny S.A. (PKO Bank Hipoteczny) on its PLN 1.155 billion issuance of mortgage covered bonds, maturing on 27 November 2028.
This transaction marks the first issue of covered bonds by PKO Bank Hipoteczny under its newly established PLN 10 billion national Mortgage Bond Issue Programme, and the first offering of covered bonds to retail investors in nearly a century. White & Case advised PKO Bank Hipoteczny on the establishment of the national Mortgage Bond Issue Programme in August 2025.
The covered bonds are listed on Catalyst, the parallel regulated market operated by the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
Powszechna Kasa Oszczędności Bank Polski S.A. Branch – Brokerage Office in Warsaw acted as the investment company in the offering.
