Global law firm White & Case LLP has expanded its Global Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Practice and Global Financial Institutions Industry Group with the addition of Dario de Martino as a partner in New York. Dario joins the Firm as Co-Head of its US Corporate Technology M&A Group, together with Silicon Valley–based partner Tali Sealman.
"Dario brings a powerful combination of M&A experience and a deep skillset in emerging technologies, in addition to strong Japanese client relationships," said White & Case Chair Heather McDevitt. "His ability to connect people, disciplines and markets will strengthen and further integrate our Financial Institutions Group across London and New York—helping us bring the right capabilities to tackle complex cross-border mandates, which is key to our strategy."
Dario has extensive experience advising multinational technology, financial services and life sciences companies on public and private mergers and acquisitions, carve-outs, joint ventures and other strategic matters, with particular experience advising Japanese corporates on US-centric transactions. Ranked by Chambers in FinTech Legal, Dario also advises on transformative issues relating to digital assets and blockchain-enabled technologies. He joins White & Case from A&O Shearman, where he was a partner and Co-Chair of its Global Fintech and Blockchain Group.
"Financial institutions are evolving alongside new digital technologies, and Dario brings exactly the kind of cross-border M&A capabilities our clients need," said White & Case Global Co-Head of M&A Michael Deyong. "As we continue to scale our team with top-flight dealmakers, Dario's outstanding relationships across key sectors will also be instrumental to capturing new opportunities for dealmaking between the US and Japan."
