Global law firm White & Case LLP has expanded its Global Debt Finance Practice with the addition of three partners in New York: Ted Lacey, Tony Wolfe and Tristan Manley.

"Financial institutions have long looked to White & Case to advise on their most complex needs," said White & Case Chair Heather McDevitt. "Adding Ted, Tony and Tristan to our team builds strength on strength. Their leading lender- and underwriter-side experience and deep relationships with major financial institutions significantly expands our ability to advise clients on their most sophisticated leveraged finance, high-yield debt and other capital-raising transactions globally."

The group brings deep experience advising financial institutions, private capital providers and other institutional lenders on some of the market's largest and most consequential matters. The group's collective capabilities span leveraged and acquisition finance, syndicated lending, high-yield debt and other debt capital markets transactions, private credit and project financing, enabling this team to advise across a broad range of capital solutions. They have advised on financings supporting landmark transactions, including Dell's US$67 billion acquisition of EMC, Paramount Skydance's US$111 billion acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery and T-Mobile's US$26.5 billion acquisition of Sprint.

"We're delighted to welcome Ted, Tony and Tristan to White & Case," said the Firm's Global Head of Debt Finance Eliza McDougall. "Their arrival advances our goal to build an even more integrated, market-leading global finance offering that anticipates and directly responds to the needs of financial institutions. Their commercial, pragmatic approach and deep market expertise will be invaluable as we continue to deliver the best outcomes for clients on their most important and complex transactions."

The team's experience includes:

  • Ted Lacey: Brings deep experience advising investment banks, commercial banks and private lenders across debt capital markets and leveraged finance, including high-yield debt, syndicated loans, and acquisition and project development financings. He has advised on the financing of landmark matters, including four of the ten largest leveraged buyouts in history.
  • Tony Wolfe: Adds significant experience advising leading investment banks, commercial banks and private lenders on capital-raising and liability management transactions across multiple debt capital markets, with particular focus on syndicated loans, high-yield debt, acquisition financing, project and infrastructure finance and out-of-court restructurings in a wide variety of industries, including real estate, gaming and leisure, technology and communications, entertainment, healthcare, financial services and industrials.
  • Tristan Manley: Brings extensive experience advising leading financial institutions on leveraged finance, debt capital markets, digital infrastructure finance and liability management transactions. His experience includes representing the financing sources in connection with significant strategic and private equity-backed acquisitions and the development of major data center projects.

White & Case is ranked Band 1 in Chambers for Banking & Finance, a ranking grounded in 125 years of representing premier global financial institutions on their highest-profile and most complex financing matters. This team builds on the Firm's continued investment in these leading capabilities, including the recent arrival of partners Dylan Glazier and Adam Johnson (both in New York); Anthony Tama, Shao-Ling Angoh and Marcus Chaplin-Roberts (all in London); Christophe Wauters (Brussels); and Luca Maffia (Milan), as the Firm continues to expand across the world's major financial markets.
