Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Bayport Colombia S.A. and Financiera Fortaleza, S.A. de C.V., SOFOM, E.N.R., subsidiaries of leading specialist credit provider Bayport Management Ltd (BML), on a US$200 million financing with US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC).
Bayport Management is a multinational company offering transactional banking, credit and insurance solutions to individuals and microbusinesses in emerging and frontier markets. The proceeds of the loan will be used to extend loans to borrowers in Colombia and Mexico.
The White & Case Debt Finance team that advised on the transaction was led by partner Sabrena Silver (New York) and included associates Gretel Martinez and Stefan Lyman (both in Miami), partner Juan Antonio Martín and associate Fernando Vázquez (both in Mexico City).
