Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Banco de Crédito e Inversiones (BCI), a Chilean bank, on the establishment of a program to issue long-term bonds (certificados bursátiles) for up to MXN 20 billion and the first issuance under such program for MXN 2 billion at a floating rate of TIIE de Fondeo + 0.64 percent, due on October 8, 2030.
The transaction represents the entry of a foreign issuer into the Mexican debt capital markets, successfully establishing and launching the program among Mexican investors. Actinver, HSBC and Morgan Stanley acted as underwriters for the offering and Multiva acted as common representative of the bondholders.
The White & Case team was led by partners Rebeca García López, Juan Antonio Martín, local partner Simón Micha Kurc, and included associates Viridiana Alanís Carrera, Jorge Reyes Juarez, and trainee lawyer Ana Sofía Vivot (all in Mexico City).
