Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised the Banque de Développement des États de l'Afrique Centrale (BDEAC) on its inaugural US$222 million 4(a)(2)/Reg S bond issuance due October 20, 2029, combined with a simultaneous euro-US dollar cross-currency hedge.

The bonds bear an annual coupon of 7.878%, following the euro currency swap, and have been admitted to trading on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange.

The proceeds raised through the international bond issuance will help accelerate disbursements supporting economic development, regional integration and strategic projects, particularly in infrastructure, agriculture, agribusiness and industry, across the six member states of the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa (CEMAC).

The White & Case team in Paris which advised on the inaugural bond issuance was co-led by partners Julien Bensaid, Olga Fedosova and Max Turner and included associates Dariya Babyak and Paul-Grégoire Longrois. The team which advised on the euro currency swap was co-led by partners Ingrid York (London) and Grégoire Karila (Paris) and included associates Charles Linel and Eva Brunelli Brondex (both Paris).
