Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Certares, a leading investment firm focused on travel, hospitality, and business and consumer services, on its closing of a single-asset continuation fund to extend its partnership with Guardian Alarm.

The new investor group was led by funds managed by New 2ND Capital. The transaction provided Guardian's existing shareholders with the option to receive liquidity and provided additional committed capital to support Guardian's acquisition strategy and continued growth.

White & Case previously represented Certares in its acquisition of Guardian Alarm in 2017.

The White & Case team was led by M&A partners Adam Cieply, Oliver Brahmst and Jane Kim (all in New York), and included Tax partner Steven Gee (New York); Employment, Compensation & Benefits partner Tal Marnin (New York); Antitrust partner Rebecca Farrington (Washington, DC); Investment Funds partner Stephen Culhane (New York); Employment, Compensation & Benefits counsel Michael Stern (New York); M&A associates Mario Olczykowski, Matt Shafman and Aparajita Pande (all in New York); Tax associate Daniel Park (New York); and Antitrust associate Gabriela Baca (Washington, DC).
