Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Foresight’s Australian Renewables Income Fund (ARIF) on its AUD$700 million portfolio debt refinancing.

"This portfolio refinancing represents a major advancement for the ARIF, consolidating debt across many of its operational renewable energy projects and creating a robust platform for future investments," said White & Case partner Joel Rennie, who led the Firm's deal team. "The terms of this facility will significantly contribute to ARIF's growth ambitions in this sector."

The refinancing transaction, which includes a AUD$620 million term loan and a AUD$80 million multi-purpose facility, was supported by a syndicate of prominent Australian and international banks, including ANZ, Westpac, Mizuho, HSBC, and Bank of China. This financial arrangement aims to refinance existing debt and bolster ARIF's development pipeline, further diversifying its portfolio.

The transaction was completed on 14 August.

The White & Case team advising on the transaction was led by partner Joel Rennie and included partners Christopher Settle and Stephen Carlton (All Melbourne) and Alicia Albury (Sydney), associates Isabella Jarrett, Laurence Judges, Matthew Weetman, Siqi Chen and Alistair Leung (All Sydney).
