White & Case advises PGIM on Mexican real estate fund targeting over half a billion dollars in capital commitments

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised PGIM Real Estate, the real estate investment and financing business of PGIM, the global asset management business of Prudential Financial, Inc., on the establishment of a private real estate fund (the "PruMex VI Fund"). The PruMex VI Fund is targeting approximately US$700 million in aggregate capital commitments through subsequent closings. It has achieved its first closing and received initial capital commitments from Mexican institutional investors and is focused on industrial real estate investments in Mexico.
The PruMex VI Fund was structured through an irrevocable trust agreement and is designed to invest indirectly through investment vehicles in the acquisition, development, redevelopment and operation of industrial real estate assets in Mexico.
The White & Case team was led by partner Eduardo Flores and counsel Jorge Escalante, and included associates Viridiana Alanis Carrera and Jorge Reyes Juarez, and legal trainee Ana Sofía Vivot (all in Mexico City).
