White & Case advises Stora Enso on sale of Maxau paper mill

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Stora Enso Oyj on its sale of Maxau paper production site in Germany to Schwarz Produktion, part of Schwarz Group, for an enterprise value of approximately €210 million.

Listed on Nasdaq Helsinki and Nasdaq Stockholm, Stora Enso manufactures renewable products in packaging, biomaterials, wooden construction and paper, and is one of the largest private forest owners in the world. Stora Enso has approximately 22,000 employees and sales in 2021 of €10.2 billion.

Schwarz Produktion is the umbrella brand for Schwarz Group's production companies, including food production and sustainable packaging for superstore chains Lidl and Kaufland.
