
White & Case announces London qualifying trainee retention rate for September 2025

Global law firm White & Case LLP will retain 86 percent of its London trainees who were due to qualify in September 2025, after 19 of 22 trainees accepted positions at the Firm.

The newly qualified lawyers join practices including Capital Markets, Construction, Debt Finance, Financial Restructuring and Insolvency, International Arbitration, Mergers & Acquisitions, Project Development and Finance and White Collar. Two trainees are joining the Firm's offices in Singapore and Helsinki, a testament to the global opportunities a career at White & Case offers.

White & Case retained 87 percent of its London trainees who qualified in March 2025. The Firm's trainee solicitor programme in London, which was established in 1998, has an average retention rate of 83 percent during the five-year period from 2021 to 2025. Around 50 trainees join the scheme each year and benefit from experiences working on complex, cross-border matters as well as having the opportunity to work in one of White & Case's overseas offices for six months.
