Biography

Overview

Scott is an Associate in the Belgian Transactional practice and the global Debt Finance and Capital Markets practice.

Scott advises clients on a range of financing transactions and debt capital structures, including cross-border mergers and acquisitions, leveraged financings, bridge facilities, and bank/bond financings.

Scott graduated magna cum laude and order of the coif from the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. While in law school, Scott served as a judicial intern to U.S. Magistrate Judge Youlee Yim You and externed with the U.S. Department of Justice's National Security Division and the U.S. Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations. He was also the principal online editor of the Harvard National Security Journal. Scott received a BS in economics from the University of Oregon.

Experience

Advising Adler Group, one of Germany's largest landlords, on its successful restructuring, which included amendments to the terms and conditions of certain of its bonds with an aggregate nominal amount of €3.2 billion and the provision of up to €937.5 million of new money funding.

Advising debt fund Barings in connection with a unitranche and holdco pik financing provided to private equity sponsor Stirling Square Capital Partners for the acquisition of Eurofins Digital Testing.

Advising top-tier direct lenders and a bank on the financing for the acquisition of Odin Groep, a leading managed IT and cloud service provider, by Apax Partners.

Advising top-tier private equity sponsor IK Investment Partners in connection with a large unitranche provided by Capital Four and super senior debt provided by Belfius Bank SA/NV in relation to the acquisition of Plastiflex Group.

Advising JP Morgan, Deutsche Bank, Nordea, DNB and SEB in connection with a EUR 425 million bank/bond financing for the acquisition of Renta, a global leader in the construction machinery and equipment rental sector, by IK Investment Partners.

Advising funds managed by Bain Capital Credit and Apax Credit on a unitranche financing to commodities market data and analytics solutions provider Kpler. Private equity firms Five Arrows Growth Capital and Insight Partners hold a significant minority stake in Kpler.

Advising the lead arrangers on a €200 million sydincated term loan B for Renta Group, a Finnish equipment rental company and an IK Partners portfolio company.
