IFLR Names White & Case “International Law Firm of the Year” for Africa

International Financial Law Review (IFLR) honored global law firm White & Case LLP six times in its 2022 IFLR Africa Awards announced on August 25.

White & Case was named "International Law Firm of the Year," "Capital Markets Team of the Year" and "Loans Team of the Year," and three transactions on which White & Case advised were named "Deals of the Year" by IFLR:

Capital Markets Deal of the Year – Access Bank Tier-1 Eurobonds
White & Case advised the joint bookrunners on the issuance of US$500 million perpetual fixed-rate resettable NC 5.25 additional Tier 1 subordinated notes and US$500 million 6.125% senior notes by Access Bank, one of the largest banks in Nigeria.

Domestic Deal of the Year – Titan Trust Bank/Union Bank of Nigeria
White & Case advised the controlling shareholders on the sale of Union Bank of Nigeria to Titan Trust Bank.

Loans Deal of the Year – Lagos State Government bus corridors
White & Case advised IFC in relation to a US$50 million local currency loan to the Government of Lagos State in Nigeria for the development, construction and rehabilitation of bus corridors.
