White & Case advises banks on Republic of Côte d’Ivoire’s US$1.3 billion bond issuance

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised BNP PARIBAS, Citigroup Global Markets Limited, Deutsche Bank AG, London Branch, J.P. Morgan Securities plc, SMBC Bank International plc, Société Générale and Standard Chartered Bank, as joint bookrunners, on the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire's US$1.3 billion 144A/Reg S bond offering.
The bond offering was for a principal amount of US$1.3 billion, with an annual coupon of 6.750% maturing in 2041.
The net proceeds of the issue will be used for general budgetary purposes in accordance with the Republic's finance laws.
White & Case has advised the underwriters on the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire's bond issuances and tender offers for over ten years, most recently advising on the US$2.1 billion dual tranche 144A/Reg S bond offering and tender offer, including the inaugural issuance in West African CFA francs in April 2025.
