Jim Robinson is a litigation lawyer who focuses on commercial trial work. His practice includes litigation in state and federal courts, where he has handled virtually every type of civil case. Robinson has extensive experience representing regional and national law firms in legal malpractice lawsuits. He has handled all aspects of such lawsuits, starting with the earliest motion practice and continuing through jury trial and appeal. Many of Robinson's recent commercial cases include representation of banking clients, including defense of a US$100 million lender liability lawsuit filed by a creditors' committee in federal bankruptcy court, defense of a multi-million dollar lender liability lawsuit by a mezzanine lender on a US$60 million bank loan, and defense of several other multi-million dollar lender liability lawsuits, most of which were resolved with summary judgment in the clients' favor. Robinson has also represented foreign and domestic corporations in contract disputes, regulatory and compliance matters, and consumer class actions at various stages.
