For the ninth year in a row, the Human Rights Campaign Foundation (HRC) has acknowledged White & Case's outstanding commitment to workplace equality with a 100 percent rating in its annual Corporate Equality Index (CEI). The perfect rating again certifies White & Case's place on the short list of "Best Places to Work" for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) employees.
HRC determines an organization's CEI rating by evaluating the organization against a detailed criteria matrix that includes the prohibition of discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity or expression for all operations; contractor/vendor non-discrimination standards that include sexual orientation and gender identity; the availability of partner health/medical insurance and transgender-inclusive health insurance; and other criteria.

The 2017 CEI rating caps an extraordinary year of recognition for the White & Case Diversity Initiative, in which the Firm was named the most diverse law firm in the United States by Law360 and, for the third straight year, by The American Lawyer. The Firm also earned multiple Women in Business Law awards in the United States, Asia and Europe from Euromoney magazine, as well the 2016 Law Firm Diversity Award from the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association and the Hope Award for Diversity from the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Silicon Valley.
