White & Case Named "Antitrust Firm of the Year"; Mark Gidley Named "Antitrust Litigator of the Year" by LMG Life Sciences
At the 2017 LMG Life Sciences Awards ceremony in New York on September 13, White & Case was honored twice: White & Case was named "Antitrust Firm of the Year," while the Firm's global Antitrust/Competition Practice Chair J. Mark Gidley (Washington, DC) was named "Antitrust Litigator of the Year."
The LMG Life Sciences Awards recognize the "year's top firms and legal professionals operating in the life science market," according to LMG Life Sciences. Winners were selected based on independent research conducted by LMG Life Sciences for its 2017 edition.
With more than 190 lawyers in 23 offices, White & Case's global Antitrust/Competition Practice offers clients an integrated worldwide team of competition law professionals, providing a coordinated approach to the increasingly global competitive issues facing its clients: corporations, investment banks, partnerships, trade associations, information exchanges and individuals.
Gidley's practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, cartel cases, class actions and pharmaceutical antitrust cases, with an emphasis on trying antitrust cases. He is a former Acting Assistant Attorney General for the US Department of Justice (DOJ) Antitrust Division, and former Deputy Assistant Attorney General for Regulated Industries in the Antitrust Division. Gidley led the team in the victorious Doryx case and argued the appeal before the Third Circuit.
