White & Case Named Most Innovative US Law Firm in Europe by IFLR; Named IFLR's "National Winner" in Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland; Advised on Three European Deals of the Year
White & Case was named the "Most Innovative US Law Firm in Europe" by International Financial Law Review (IFLR) at its Europe Award ceremony on April 16, 2015. In addition, the Firm was named IFLR's "National Winner" in the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland and advised on three IFLR European "Deals of the Year."
The award-winning deals were:
High Yield Deal of the Year – B Communications. We represented B Communications Ltd. in its innovative debut US$800 million senior secured high yield bond offering, the first-ever internationally marketed high yield bond listed on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange. B Communications is the controlling shareholder of Bezeq Telecommunications, Israel's largest communications company.
Project Finance Deal of the Year – A7 Bordesholm-Hamburg Road. Project Finance Deal of the Year – A7 Bordesholm-Hamburg Road. We advised the joint lead managers, lenders and institutional investors on the first project bond with European Investment Bank project bond credit enhancement (EIB PBCE) in Germany for the financing of the extension and operation of the A7 federal highway between Hamburg and Bordesholm. The project, with construction costs of around €600 million, is also the first combined bank–bond financing in Europe using the EIB PBCE.
Restructuring Deal of the Year – APCOA. We acted for Deutsche Bank as new money provider, agent and security trustee on the restructuring of the APCOA Parking Group. The restructuring was implemented through a Scheme of Arrangement and resulted in a significant deleveraging of APCOA's balance sheet, a reduction in its debt by more than €440 million and €80 million of additional financing.
