
The American Lawyer magazine has honored White & Case six times—more than any other firm—in its fourth annual Global Legal Awards.
Selected from a field of more than 200 entries, the Global Legal Awards "recognize the most significant international matters in four categories: citizenship, disputes, finance and mergers and acquisitions," according to The American Lawyer. Along with four grand prizes that have not yet been revealed, the awards will be presented at a ceremony on September 26 in New York.
The magazine conferred its "Global Citizenship Award: Lifetime Achievement" on White & Case for the Firm's support of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition since 2002, including the Firm's underwriting of international rounds, regional contests and the making of a documentary film that will be highlighted at the awards ceremony.
In addition to the Global Citizenship Award, The American Lawyer selected five transactions on which White & Case advised as among the most significant of the year:
