Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena (MPS) on its successful voluntary public tender and exchange offer for the ordinary shares of Mediobanca.
MPS has acquired approximately 86.3 percent of Mediobanca's share capital for a total consideration exceeding €16.5 billion in cash and shares. The transaction establishes a new leading player in the Italian banking sector, offering a broad and diversified range of products and services to households, businesses and local communities.
