Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA), a producer of premium aluminium, on its proposed acquisition of an 80 percent stake in Italian aluminium recycling company Eco Green.
The transaction is a further step in EGA's global expansion in aluminium recycling and will strengthen its position in the European market, providing additional capacity to supply recycled aluminium under EGA's RevivAL brand and supporting the transition to a lower carbon, circular economy in Europe.
The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals.
Eco Green specialises in aluminium scrap collection, sorting and casting, and dross processing, distributing a total of more than 70 thousand tonnes per year. Founded by the Scappini family in 1993, Eco Green remains family led. The company employs 70 people, and its current management team is expected to continue following completion of the transaction.
