White & Case has won two top awards at the inaugural Global Transport Finance Awards 2012, held in London on 16 November 2012.
The Firm was named 'Road Finance Law Firm of the Year 2012', following our work advising the six lenders on the financing, design, construction and operation of a toll bridge in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, under a concession scheme, as well as advising the six lenders on the financing of a €1.9 billion public-private partnership to build and operate an electronic truck tolling system for French roads.
In addition, White & Case collected the 'Port Finance Law Firm of the Year 2012' award for advising senior lender Caixa Econômica Federal on the US$1.1 billion Embraport project, a mixed-use port terminal to be located in the Port of Santos in Brazil.
"These awards reflect the strength of our Global Project Finance Practice and the innovative and complex deals in which the Firm has recently been involved in the transport sector," said Art Scavone, White & Case's global head of project finance. "To be recognised with these awards is a credit to the work of the whole global team."
