Global law firm White & Case LLP has won the "Middle East Pro Bono Law Firm of the Year" award at the IFLR Middle East Awards 2019 held in Dubai on October 16. 

Of the award, White & Case partner-elect and pro bono leader for MENA Charbel Abou Charaf (London) said: "Doing pro bono work is its own reward, but we are honored to be recognized by IFLR and grateful to all of our lawyers in MENA who have worked hard on a number of matters with significant social impact over the past year."

Pro bono Law Firm of the year

Over the past two years, lawyers and legal staff across all White & Case Middle East offices have provided more than 3,000 hours of pro bono advice to a variety of NGOs and individuals in need. The firm provided general corporate legal advice to a large roster of nonprofit organizations, which include Al Nahda Philanthropic Society for Women, Bunyan Women's Organization for Family Development, Education for Employment, Beirut Museum of Art, Hedayah, International Federation of Red Cross & Red Crescent Societies, SOS Children’s Villages and Teach for Lebanon.
