Global law firm White & Case LLP has won 17 awards at the Global Banking & Markets CEE, CIS & Türkiye Awards 2024, which recognize "the most innovative & ground-breaking deals from CEE, CIS & Türkiye's financial markets."
White & Case was honored with two "Legal Adviser of the Year" awards:
- Equity Capital Markets Legal Adviser of the Year
- Project Finance Legal Adviser of the Year
The Firm also won 15 "Deal of the Year" awards for its groundbreaking work on the following transactions:
Global Banking & Markets Deal of the Year and Debt Deal of the Year – Poland
White & Case advised the State Treasury of the Republic of Poland on the issuance of US$8 billion worth of notes registered with the US Securities and Exchange Commission under its shelf registration statement. This is the largest State Treasury bond issuance in the US dollar market.
ESG Bond Deal of the Year
White & Case, in association with GKC Partners, advised Ülker Bisküvi Sanayi A.Ş., Türkiye's largest public food manufacturing company, on its Rule 144A/Regulation S US$550 million sustainability-linked Eurobond issuance.
Liability Management Deal of the Year
White & Case, in association with GKC Partners, advised Ülker Bisküvi Sanayi A.Ş. on a tender offer for its Eurobonds due 2025.
Debut Corporate Bond Deal of the Year and Energy Transition Deal of the Year
White & Case advised Energetický a průmyslový holding, a.s. (EPH), a leading pan-European energy utility, on the establishment of the €3 billion euro medium term note program of EPH Financing International, a.s., guaranteed by EPH, and the successful debut issue of €500 million guaranteed notes under the program.
Debut SSA Bond Deal of the Year
White & Case advised the Republic of Serbia on its issuance of US$1.5 billion notes under its global medium term note program.
Debut FI Bond Deal of the Year
White & Case advised JSCB Uzbek Industrial and Construction Bank, the second-largest commercial bank in Uzbekistan by total assets and loan portfolio size, on its Rule 144A/Regulation S issuances of US dollar and Uzbek soum-denominated notes for the aggregate amount of US$575 million.
Project Bond Deal of the Year
White & Case advised Enea S.A. on the issuance of PLN 2 billion bonds with the rate of interest tied to ESG criteria.
Project Finance Deal of the Year and Infrastructure Deal of the Year
White & Case, in association with GKC Partners, advised EBRD, IFC and AIIB on the short-term bridge financing of €455million to Fraport TAV Antalya Yatırım Yapım ve İşletme A.Ş., a subsidiary owned by TAV Havalimanları Holding A.Ş. and Fraport AG Frankfurt Airport Services Worldwide, relating to the capacity increase and the expansion of the Antalya Airport.
Structured Bond Deal of the Year
White & Case advised Bank Pekao, BNP Paribas, BofA, Citigroup and J.P. Morgan, as joint bookrunners, on Bank Pekao's issuance of 5.500% fixed-to-floating green bonds maturing in November 2027 with a nominal value of €500 million.
International IPO Deal of the Year
White & Case advised a syndicate of banks, including Citigroup and Jefferies, as the joint global coordinators and bookrunners, and WOOD & Company, as joint bookrunner, on the US$350 million IPO of Air Astana.
Debt Deal of the Year – Czechia
White & Case, in association with GKC Partners, advised ENERGO-PRO, a global player in the field of hydropower, on the US$300 million bridge-to-bond facility.
Debt Deal of the Year – Uzbekistan
White & Case advised the Republic of Uzbekistan on three issuances under its global medium term note program (US$600 million 6.900% notes due 2032, UZS 3 billion 16.625% notes due 2027 and €600 million 5.375% notes due 2027).
